The 9 Stars of qimen dunjia is an energy source from the external environment that influences people. While their position on the 9 palaces are not fixed, their arrangement follows a sequence according to a clockwise movement along the 9 palaces.

Related to the kan trigram at the north. It is of yang nature associated with water element. It is an inauspicious star. Related to theft, robbery, financial loss, bad health. It can be useful for defence.
2) Assignment Tian Ren Xing (天任星)
Related to the gen trigram at the northeast. It is yang nature associated with earth element. Capable in various aspects like a jack of all traits. A generally auspicious star.
3) Charge Tian Chong Xing (天冲星)
Related to the zhen trigram at the east. A yang star associated with wood. It is related to help and assistance.
4) Assistance Tian Fu Xing (天辅星)
Related to the xun trigram at the southeast. A yang star associated with wood element. It is related to study, academics and learning. An auspicious star.
5) Hero Tian Ying Xing (天英星)
Related to the li trigram at the south. It is a yin star associated with fire element. Related to injuries. It is mostly neutral or leans slightly towards the inauspicious side of things. Not favorable for wealth or progress.
