Having The Side Of Bed Against A Wall Is Bad Feng Shui

When it comes to core components of a living space, it goes without question that the bed is the focal point when it comes to the bedroom.

Very often, there are no ideal positions for a bed to be placed in a bedroom.

Sometimes the space limitations of a room can mean that there are very few available positions. Sometimes, there is really only 1 position available.

These are usually caused by the presence of doors, irregularly shaped rooms, and even due to the size of the room or bed itself.

If you really have no option but to place the bed against 2 walls, meaning the bedhead and one side of the bed, then you will just have to accept it the way it is.

But when the option of placing the bed with just the bedhead against a wall, and both sides of the bed with open space. Then usually this would be the better option.

In general, this is because it is bad feng shui to have one side of the bed open and the other side against a wall.

The main reason why this is so is that open spaces on both side of a bed enables energy to move. Allowing the resident to draw on more balanced energy while sleeping to recharge.

In form school feng shui, it is also often said that the left resides the green dragon. And the right is where the white tiger is. So if the left side of the bed is leaning against a wall, this is often expressed as the green dragon being blocked. And this will lead to bad luck in terms of personal progress in pursuits. And when the right side of the bed runs in to a wall, it can be said that the white tiger has too strong a presence. This is very unfavorable as white tiger afflictions can cause chaos to the state of energy.

In this sense, because the left dragon represents men and the right tiger represents women, the side where the wall is can cause constant setback and road blocks for the man or woman sleeping on that side of the bed.

In terms of relationship luck, it is also unfavorable to have one side of the bed open and another side blocked by a wall.

For those who are single, it can hamper romance luck. And for those who are in a relationship, the party that sleeps on the side of the bed which is against a wall, will be the party that will be suppressed in the relationship.

Even from a symbolic sense, when one side of the bed cannot be directly accessed, then it is seen as a representation of a lack of potential suitors appearing in life.

However, there are times when it is beneficial for a bed side to be up against a wall.

A baby or child needs much more support than an adult. So an additional wall can act as a form of additional support. It can also add a sense of security for him or her while sleeping.

Some one who is in bad health or an elderly individual might also need more support and can benefit from the side bed leaning against a wall.
