What Your Kua Number Calculation Says About You

The personal kua number is one of the most simple ways to conduct basic life readings in Chinese metaphysics.

Every person has a kua number that is determined by the year of birth and gender.

You can calculate your own kua number or refer to the kua number table to identify yours.

Kua numbers are often used for feng shui and is an integral part of 8 mansions.

They are sometimes also used for personality profiling. Sort of like the Myers–Briggs theory.

So what does your kua number say about you.

Kua number 1

Those with kua 1 belongs to the East group.

Favorable directions are Southeast, east, south and north. Unfavorable directions are west, northeast, northwest and southwest.

Kua number 1 is of water element, and would therefore share various traits of water.

Natural water can be either yang like flowing rivers and gushing waterfalls or yin like still lakes.

This implies that those of kua 1 can often have some type of dual personality.

For example, a person might behave or carry himself totally differently when in the company of different people. It can also be that one personality shows up at the office, but a different personality appears at home.

Like water, one would be very adaptable to different circumstances. No matter how challenging an occasion is, kua 1 personality would be able to find a way to ride the waves.

Kua number 4

People with kua 4 belongs to the East group.

Kua 4 is also wood element. But unlike kua 3 which represents big yang wood, kua 3 is small yin wood.

While kua 3 is symbolic of trees, kua 4 is symbolic of flowers and plants.

Because there is no trigram number 5, those who find themselves as kua 5 will have similar qualities to another kua.

Men would take on kua 2, while women would take on kua 8.

However, as the number 5 is also tied to earth element, some other personality attributes can be uncovered.

One would be independent, pragmatic, balanced, and not afraid to step up when needed.

They can often become an irresistible force or an immovable object.

Kua number 6

Kua 6 individuals are of the West group.

Highly sociable, one might find it difficult to identify truly rewarding relationships in friends and romance.

A belief that you are the best can often be detrimental to self-development.

Remember that there is always things that can be improved and don’t belittle those who are not as smart as you.

Kua number 8

Kua 8 is represented by big yang earth that is synonymous with boulders, huge rocks and mountains.

It comes with calmness amid chaos, strength in adversity, and the pillar of strength people rely on when in trouble.

While decisiveness can be a positive attribute, a stubborn nature can frustrate others who disagree with decisions you make. It would be next to impossible to convince you into changing your mind once a decision is made.

Kua 8 personalities however, are not the best at expressing themselves. This can either be a strength or weakness.

Kua number 9
